That will be useful one day

Just to prove a point that one should hang onto seemingly useless objects ... just in case. The other day my Kyocera laser printer packed up due to a seized rotating mirror motor. This did provide the incentive to take a laser printer apart and the laser scanning mechanism with hexagonal mirror and correcting lens was indeed fascinating, but ridiculously expensive to replace!  Anyway, I bought a used printer of the same model for the ridiculously cheap price of £25 (good condition and low page count) so I could transfer the network card, memory and PostScript from the old one.  All went OK until I faced extracting the 40 pin PostScript IC from the circuit board. I search around my workshop and in a short time spotted the very tool. Just a bit of filing of the foot and it extracted the IC as well as the professional tool!  sexy tooth brush
